Summer Fun

Hey All

How do you like the new blog? I think I’ll probably keep it for a while, I like that it’s not as “Seasonal” as my previous layouts. I apologize for lack of real freebie this week (and every other week I’ve missed). I’m recovering still from the best day of the summer so far. Wednesday we took our daughter to the Calgary Stampede fort he very first time. We had intended to be there about 8:30 to get in free but not so early as we had to wait around for hours for everything to open, and we expected to be home by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Not exactly how it went. We got there just after 8am, got drinks and snacks for “breakfast” and by 9am the rides were open so we looked around, got our tickets and Deirdre decided on the Monster Trucks. As soon as Rob & her got on it the skies let loose with a downpour. She loved it none the less and we headed for cover with thousands of other people. The rain only lasted about an hour and threatened to come back all day but it actually ended up being very hot & sunny by the afternoon. We ate junk food, rode rides, played games, won prizes, shopped and walked for HOURS. Deirdre was a real trooper. She was on her best behaviour even after being dragged out of bed early, no nap & walking for over 8 hours. I got sunburnt, sick & sore body but Deirdre thought she was in heaven so it was totally worth it.

I have a new kit officially releasing next weekend with a summery theme.

Manda’s Scrapping Creations has a new pack of templates out today! Template pack 10! I absolutely love Manda’s Templates and have most of her packs either from CT work or purchasing plus a tonne that she has given out free in the past and I have to say she truly is my favourite template maker. She labels all the layers so there’s no guess work involved. There’s always room for journaling, though they look just as good without (I’m horrible at journaling). I really can’t say enough good things about her templates. This set is $2 through Wednesday so make sure you grab them!

The Poppies Blow

Hey Guys!

I don’t know about the rest of the world but in Canada right now it’s poppy season. The bright red pins are everywhere and constantly falling off our clothes and having to be replaced. I’m sure if not poppy season it’s at least a great time for remembering in many parts of the world, the wars that shook up our nations. I was lucky that none of my family members died at war, though many of them served. This kit is great for remembering our soldiers as well as scrapping everyday fall layouts.

Long time no post I know! Last week I moved to a new house and it really got botched Despite my careful marking of every single box people just decided to put everything wherever they pleased. Not at all pleasing to me. Unpacking is slow going thanks to this and my poor daughter is not reacting well to both the new place and living in chaos. She found out a bit ago that she is expecting a girl who they have decided to name Grace, and this kit is for her. Grace by Growing Pains Scrapped is a beautiful kit of pinks & browns, which is my favourite colour combination.

OK! So Cowboy / Cowgirl and Farm were tied for first place just now as I closed the poll. Good news is that both of them will be released in the next couple months. If all goes as planned the tentatively named kits : Down On The Farm is scheduled to release June 28th and Stampedin' on July 26th. These are tentative dates and tentative names but one way or another they'll both be out in the summer.
