Hey All
How do you like the new blog? I think I’ll probably keep it for a while, I like that it’s not as “Seasonal” as my previous layouts. I apologize for lack of real freebie this week (and every other week I’ve missed). I’m recovering still from the best day of the summer so far. Wednesday we took our daughter to the Calgary Stampede fort he very first time. We had intended to be there about 8:30 to get in free but not so early as we had to wait around for hours for everything to open, and we expected to be home by 1 or 2 in the afternoon. Not exactly how it went. We got there just after 8am, got drinks and snacks for “breakfast” and by 9am the rides were open so we looked around, got our tickets and Deirdre decided on the Monster Trucks. As soon as Rob & her got on it the skies let loose with a downpour. She loved it none the less and we headed for cover with thousands of other people. The rain only lasted about an hour and threatened to come back all day but it actually ended up being very hot & sunny by the afternoon. We ate junk food, rode rides, played games, won prizes, shopped and walked for HOURS. Deirdre was a real trooper. She was on her best behaviour even after being dragged out of bed early, no nap & walking for over 8 hours. I got sunburnt, sick & sore body but Deirdre thought she was in heaven so it was totally worth it.

I took my kids and their two cousins to the Winnipeg Kids Fringe Festival. It wasn't too hot and it was opening day I was expecting to be a very big crowd but it was pretty dead. It was great! We had so much to see and do. My two kept being volunteers for for mostly the magic shows. They were so funny. Their cousins who were pre-teens actually had a good too. Best Day so far!
